      Sandra De Greef

      Head of Division - Organisation & People Development · European Investment Bank (EIB)

      Sandra is the spouse of 1, mother of 2, friends of many and enthusiast of nature in all ways.

      Professionally, Sandra followed her initial passion for finance. Sandra holds a master in finance from ICHEC and started her career as Private Banker at the Dexia group, mostly in Luxembourg. Sandra quickly became the head of private banking for Flemish and Dutch clients, leading more than 20 private bankers before she reached her 30ies. She discovered a whole new world, that of people management and team leadership, its challenges, its complexity and its beauty. This is when her interest shifted from Finance to Human Resources.

      She gave a turn to her career by undertaking a second master, in Human Resources at Université de Nancy II, and becoming consultant for McKinsey. She managed organisational transformations such as strategic reorientations, the post M&A merge of the organisation charts and culture, critical reskilling programmes and lean processing. Her last project was the “Building our Future” project at the European Investment Bank (EIB), where she stayed since 2008.

      Sandra is heading the Organisation and People Development Division. Her team comprises four centres of HR expertise: talent management, learning & development, performance management and Diversity, equity and Inclusion. Together, we make diverse EIB talent thrive for high performance and engagement. Sandra also recently lead the shift to hybrid working at EIB and supports EIB’s Digital Transformation.
